In the United States and the PointsBet USA subsidiary of Australian online sportsbook operator PointsBet Holdings Proprietary Limited has announced the signing of a strategic partnership that could soon see it launch into the eastern state of Maryland.
The New York-headquartered enterprise used an official press release to declare that the ten-year alliance with The Riverboat on the Potomac off-track sportsbetting facility will allow it to begin supplying sports wagering aficionados in The Old Line State with a range of retail and online betting entertainment subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals from the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
PointsBet USA described The Riverboat on thePotomacas a licensed satellite simulcast facility for horseracing and minority-owned small business that was established some 28 years ago in southern Charles County. It stated that the new alliance will also permit it to bring its best-in-market proprietary technology, modernized and premium brand mentality to Maryland following the states legalization of sportsbetting earlier this year.
